Apply for consumption of alcohol permit

If you are holding an event in the Gannawarra Shire and liquor will be consumed, you are required to comply with all requirements of the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation. You may require a Consumption of Liquor permit from Council for events held at municipal reserves in the shire. To apply for a permit, please complete the form below.

Please note that there are many areas in the municipality that have been declared alcohol-free without a permit. For maps of the alcohol-free areas refer to Part 12, Schedule 2 of the Council Local Laws . 

All municipal reserves within Gannawarra Shire are declared alcohol-free zones between 10pm and 8am. If your event commences prior to 10pm, you will require a permit from Council.

Liquor consumption at the Cohuna Memorial Hall or Kerang Memorial Hall

Alcohol consumed within the building - The applicant is required to comply with all requirements of the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation.

Alcohol consumed outside the building - The area outside the Cohuna Memorial Hall and Kerang Memorial Hall are alcohol-free zones. A permit is required for the consumption of alcohol in these areas.
