Outdoor Swimming Pool Lifeguards

Applications to join Gannawarra Shire Council's team of Outdoor Pool Lifeguards for the 2026/27 swimming pool season are now open.

The team will oversee operations at the Council-managed Cohuna and Kerang swimming pools for the 2026/27 season, which will run from Monday, 9 November to Monday, 8 March.

Anyone aged 16 years and over is welcome to apply, with Life Saving Victoria lifeguard training, first aid training and accreditation provided free of charge.

People wishing to be considered for employment at the start of the season are encouraged to submit their application by Monday, 24 August 2026.

School-based traineeships and work experience

Are you in year 10 or above and want to pursue a career in childcare, horticulture or local government?
