Council is working with renowned civil engineering and surveying firm, Maker ENG and Kerang residents to complete a comprehensive study of Kerang’s township drainage infrastructure, which will lead to the development of the Kerang Stormwater Drainage Study.

As part of the first stage of the study’s development, residents were able to complete a survey that identified locations that have been impacted by previous stormwater or drainage-related flooding.

What is happening now?

During the past few months, Maker ENG has used information provided by residents and data from Council to identify locations where stormwater or drainage-related flooding is prominent.

Drop-in sessions

Residents will be able to review progress regarding the development of the drainage study during two drop-in sessions occurring at Kerang’s Sir John Gorton Library (2 Shadforth Street) on Monday, 25 August from 12 noon-2pm and 5pm-7pm.

Residents who are unable to attend either of the drop-in sessions and would like to provide information to the study’s developers can do so by emailing council@gsc.vic.gov.au or by phoning (03) 5450 9333.
