Draft Cohuna Recreation Reserve Masterplan

Residents are encouraged to have their say regarding the Draft Cohuna Recreation Reserve Masterplan, developed in collaboration between Council and user groups.

The masterplan features recommendations that seek to modernise and enhance the reserve in line with works at Apex Park and Garden Park. These improvement will require external funding from other levels of government and sporting bodies, with support from user groups and Council. 

Key features of the masterplan include:

  • Construction of a new multi-use pavilion next to the Main Oval to service facility users
  • Construction of two new netball courts
  • Construction of a new cricket pavilion and precinct at the Second Oval
  • Refurbishing or replacing the existing grandstand at the main oval and incorporating new storage facilities for users
  • Converting the Second Oval into two cricket fields - one of which can also be utilised for junior football matches
  • Refurbishing the cricket nets at the Second Oval
  • Relocating Little Athletics to the Main Oval
  • Construction of 10 synthetic grass tennis courts, including five with lighting
  • Construction of a shared trail along the banks of Gunbower Creek
  • Partial future refurbishment of Cohuna Bowls Club clubhouse
