A popular Kerang park and playground will be closed on weekdays from next week to enable inspections of one of the town’s water towers to occur.
Kerang Water Tower Park, known to residents as Egg Park, will be closed from 9am-4pm weekdays from Monday, 5 May to mid-July to enable Lower Murray Water to inspect its water tower, located next to the playground.
“Kerang Water Tower Park is a popular location for families to socialise due to its proximity to the Kerang central business district and playground,” Gannawarra Shire Council Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Rollinson said.
“To ensure the safety of residents, people will not be able to access this park whilst these inspections occur.
“Council thanks Lower Murray Water for ensuring residents can continue to access Kerang Water Tower Park when inspections are not occurring, and looks forward to when people can return to enjoy what’s on offer at Kerang Water Tower Park following the completion of these inspections.”
