Residents were encouraged during September 2023 to help Gannawarra Shire Council and agencies rewrite the Gannawarra Municipal Emergency Management Plan, which guides the management of emergencies in the Gannawarra and how agencies respond to these incidents and coordinate recovery operations.
Originally adopted in 1996 and last reviewed in 2020, the Gannawarra Municipal Emergency Management Plan guides how Council and fellow agencies work together during times of emergency. To read the 2020 version of the plan, please click here.
To assist with the rewriting of the plan, residents were asked to provide feedback on what they would like included in the new version of the document by completing a 10-minute survey, which was available to complete via Council's website.
