The CFO is a key member of Council’s management team, working collaboratively with all areas of Council and relevant external agencies and will contribute to the strategic and direction of Council.
The CFO will be responsible for planning, implementing and managing all financial activities of Council to ensure the ongoing financial sustainability of Council. This includes undertaking the role of Principal Accounting Officer.
It is important that the successful applicant is someone who not only brings their leadership and technical financial expertise to the position, but is also committed to continuing to build the strong culture and values of the organisation.
The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in a financial lead or management level position, or be ready to take the next step in their career, as well as holding suitable qualifications.
Ideally the successful applicant will also hold relevant tertiary qualifications and membership to the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants or Institute of Chartered Accountants.
This role is flexible and can be offered as a full time or a part time role.
