Placing your bin out for collection

Your bin should be placed out for collection the night before your scheduled collection day. As collection times may vary it is not recommended you place it out of a morning.

The bin should be placed on the naturestrip or shoulder of the road in rural areas, with the wheels furthest from the road. Do not place the bin near obstructions such as trees or powerpoles, or behind parked cars.

Where two or more bins are placed in the same area for collection, ensure there is at least 0.5 metres between them - this is the same when placing your recycling out for collection also.

In rural areas, ensure the bin is on the shoulder of the road and at least 1 metre back from the edge of the seal.

Request for Waste, Recycling and Green Waste Collection service

All residents throughout the Shire may join the Waste and Recycling collection service, and if operational in your area, the Green Waste service. In many cases your property will be located along or within a short distance of a garbage route, however this may not always be the case. Should this occur, you will be informed of the distance to the nearest collection point prior to your service being activated.

If you wish to join the service or alter your current arrangements, including cancelling your service, please complete the form below. Your service can then generally be activated within 2-3 weeks.
