The 2023/24 Spring and Summer edition of the Gannawarra’s Tourism & Events brochure is now available.

Developed twice yearly by Gannawarra Shire Council’s tourism team, the latest edition of this popular brochure highlights close to 60 events that are occurring between September 2023 and February 2024.

“The Tourism & Events brochure features events that are occurring in what is usually the busiest part of the year for our communities,” Council Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Rollinson said.

“Whether it is New Year’s Eve or Australia Day celebrations, or our local agricultural shows, there is something on offer for everyone in the coming months.”

Major events occurring between September 2023 and February 2024 include the inaugural Cohuna Chilli Festival in September, Koondrook’s PS Alexander Arbuthnot 100th birthday celebrations in October, the Gannawarra Toy Run in November, New Year’s Eve celebrations throughout the municipality, Quambatook’s Heritage Working Machinery Field Day in January and the Summerwave festival, with a date to be confirmed for this popular youth music event.

The brochure also promotes regular attractions, including local markets and parkrun sessions, as well as must-do attractions in the Gannawarra.

“Whether it is exploring our waterways or forests, tasting the cuisine served at our various hospitality businesses or spending the night at some of our unique accommodation facilities, the Gannawarra is a great place for visitors and tourists alike,” Mr Rollinson said.

Copies of the Tourism and Event Spring and Summer 2023/24 brochure are available from Council’s Customer Service Centres at Cohuna and Kerang, the Gateway to Gannawarra Visitor Centre at Cohuna and numerous tourism facilities located throughout the Gannawarra.
