Published on 07 May 2026
Time is running out for residents to have their say on Gannawarra Shire Council’s 2026/27 Proposed Budget, with feedback accepted up to 5pm Friday, 15 May.
Council has been asking residents to have their say on the draft version of Council’s key annual financial document since 16 April, which can be downloaded at www.gsc.vic.gov.au/budget or viewed at Council’s Customer Service Centres at Cohuna and Kerang.
“Council encourages all residents to have their say on the 2026/27 Proposed Budget before consultation closes,” Mayor Garner Smith said.
“The 2026/27 Proposed Budget aims to provide the community with the services it expects from Council and invests in important infrastructure upgrades.”
“The 2026/27 Proposed Budget is a business-as-usual budget, with no forecast changes to the services Council delivers. The capital works program is designed to address renewal gap requirements across key infrastructure our residents rely on, including roads, buildings, swimming pools and urban stormwater infrastructure.”
Feedback regarding the 2026/27 Proposed Budget can be provided in the following ways:
- By visiting www.gsc.vic.gov.au/budget and completing an online form.
