Kerang and district residents have until 5pm Sunday, 25 May to complete a survey that will help shape the town’s urban drainage study.

Gannawarra Shire Council is working with renowned civil engineering and surveying firm, Maker ENG to complete a comprehensive study of Kerang’s township drainage infrastructure, which will lead to the development of the Kerang Stormwater Drainage Study.

“Thank you to all residents who have taken the time so far to complete the Kerang Stormwater Drainage Study resident feedback survey, which enables residents to identify if their property or business has been impacted by previous drainage issues and outline other areas in Kerang where drainage is a concern,” Council Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Rollinson said.

“Our residents have the greatest knowledge when it comes to locations impacted by stormwater drainage issues, and identifying these locations and providing evidence, such as photos and other materials, will assist the developers of the Kerang Stormwater Drainage Study to establish a study that reflects the community’s needs.”

Resident can complete a copy of the Kerang Stormwater Drainage Study resident feedback survey from today through to 5pm Sunday, 25 May online at www.gsc.vic.gov.au/stormwater or at Council’s Kerang Customer Service Centre.

“The survey is the first stage of community engagement relating to the development of the Kerang Stormwater Drainage Study, with face-to-face sessions planned for later in the year,” Mr Rollinson said.
