Audience members were left amazed when The Alphabet of Awesome Science brought their fusion of science and language fun to Kerang on 14 September.

Around 60 people enjoyed this one-hour family-friendly show, held at the Kerang Memorial Hall.

“The Alphabet of Awesome Science are renowned for their mish-mash of alphabet and science knowledge, and it was fantastic for the Gannawarra to experience this fun,” Gannawarra Shire Council Chief Executive Officer, Tom O’Reilly said.

“Professor Lexi Con and Professor Noel Edge had the audience on the edge of their seats as they attempted to complete 26 scientific experiments, one for each letter of the alphabet, in a 52-minute time period.”

The performance, supported by Creative Victoria, was the last show to feature in Creative Gannawarra’s program of events for this year.

“After two years impacted by COVID-19 restrictions, it has been great to see audiences return to performances across the Gannawarra,” Mr O’Reilly said.

“Our 2022 program featured something for everybody, from the family-friendly fun of The Alphabet of Awesome Science and The Listies, Kutcha Edwards’ powerful storytelling and the community musical celebration hosted by Mama Kin Spender in August.”

Planning for Creative Gannawarra’s 2023 program is underway, with details to be announced by the end of the year.
