School Transition Booklet Feedback Survey

Media Release

Gannawarra Shire Council is seeking feedback on the ‘School Transition in Gannawarra’ booklet.

Director Community Wellbeing Stacy Williams said Council acknowledges that the transition into Prep and Year 7 is an exciting time for families.

“The first day of primary school or high school is a significant step for many families,” said Mrs Williams.

“The School Transition in Gannawarra booklet was compiled to provide information on the wonderful schools and services we have in our shire.”

“It also provides some useful tips to help make the transition smoother for families with children entering primary school or secondary school for the first time in 2019. It is also a very useful guide for families moving to our area.”

The 2018 version of the transition booklet was distributed widely earlier in 2018.

“We want this booklet to be as relevant as possible to families,” said Mrs Williams. “Looking ahead to next year’s publication, we invite families to take part in a survey to assess how the book is being used in the community and to gather feedback about the existing content.”

Families can choose to fill out a hard-copy of the survey, which was included in the book this year, or they can choose to complete the survey online using the following linkhttps://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MFWG9RG

Families are encouraged to return a completed survey to Council by 5pm on Friday November 30, 2018. Hard copies can be returned to Council Customer Service Offices in Cohuna or Kerang.
