ReSpark the Park!

A State Government grant will assist Council to ‘ReSpark the Park’ located at the junction of McCann Crescent, Swan and William Street in Kerang.

Gannawarra Shire Council’s Director Community Wellbeing Mandy Hutchinson says this project, as part of the partnership with Regional Arts Victoria, will allow the community to come together to re-claim a space for the community and to create a safe and fun event for families.

“ReSpark the Park invites the community to come and enjoy activities that will be taking place across the day at a local park in Kerang,” Ms Hutchinson explains.

“We will also be able to gather feedback on the day that will lead into the development of ideas around future plans for this particular community park.”

Regional Arts Victoria Creative Arts Facilitator Kim Bennett says over the day there will be the making of a beautiful children’s garden, pop up playground, Storytime, live music, art activities, Wood Fire Pizza and lots more.

“This will be a great day for the whole family to relax in the park, enjoy the sunshine and have some fun,” Ms Bennett said.
