Kerang and Cohuna Pools to open!

Final preparations are underway at the Kerang and Cohuna Swimming pools with the much anticipated pool season almost upon us.

Both pools will be managed by Gannawarra Shire Council, with Kerang opening this Saturday 5th November 2016 and Cohuna opening on Saturday 12th November. Both pools will close on Sunday 2nd April 2017.

This season there is a Weather Temperature Policy in place. When the temperature on the Bureau of Meteorology website is forecast to be 21 degrees Celsius or below then the outside pools will not be open.

Opening hours for November and March will be 1pm to 7pm Monday to Friday and 12pm-7pm weekends and public holidays, whilst opening hours for December, January and February will be 10am to 8pm, with the flexibility to open later on extreme hot weather days.

Early swim sessions (6.00am – 8.30am) will operate at both facilities, commencing in December. Swimmers in Kerang can take a morning swim Monday, Wednesday and Fridays and Cohuna on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The Splash Park at Kerang is now complete and will be operating and available to use at all times when the pool is open.

Waterslides at both facilities will operate Friday to Sunday and will again be free of charge, and a reminder that children under 5 years old, or under 1.2m tall, must be accompanied by an adult.

The inflatable pool toys will operate on selected days during schools holidays, dependent on weather conditions.
