Residents and visitors needing to report issues relating to animal-related matters or road and building concerns within the Gannawarra Shire Council can now do so via a new after-hours phone service.
As part of the new service, people needing to report an issue with Council can do so at any time by phoning (03) 5450 9333. If the phone call is made outside of regular business hours, residents and visitors can connect with Council’s after-hours staff by selecting one of three options.
“Thanks to the dedication of our staff, Council successfully introduced its new after-hours messaging service during the Easter long weekend, which enabled easier reporting of issues relating to animal management or damage to Council’s assets,” Council Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Rollinson said.
“As part of Council’s previous arrangements, people wanting to report an issue with Council via phone usually had to note our after-hours mobile phone number, then hang up and call a secondary line.
“These new arrangements have made it easier for residents to report issues and for our staff to enact on these concerns.”
The updated after-hours reporting service complements the various ways residents and visitors can interact with Council. These include:
“Please note that issues that may cause harm or serious damage should be reported to Triple Zero (000) immediately,” Mr Rollinson said.
