Gannawarra Library Service School Holiday Program

Media Release

The Gannawarra Library Service encourages you to drop into their branches this summer to read, relax and escape the summer heat.

Mayor Lorraine Learmonth said our libraries located in Kerang, Cohuna, Leitchville and Quambatook have something for everyone.

“If you haven’t visited your local Library for a while, we encourage you to pop in over summer,” said Mayor Learmonth.

“Our libraries have a great range of books, films, graphic novels and audio devices on offer and free Wi-Fi is available so you can settle in a comfortable space and while the day away.”

For students thinking ahead to next year, Wi-Fi can be used to access great study advice featured on the ‘myWarra’ website. Free homework support is also available via ‘Studiosity’ using your library membership.

“For families, craft activities will be on offer as well as scheduled ‘Maker Space’ time, where you can drop into the library with your children and create art using the materials provided,” explained Mayor Learmonth.

Kinder and school age children can get a special Gannawarra Library Service ‘Summer Time’ book mark and receive a stamp from library staff each time they visit and borrow books from the library over the school holidays.

“Fun prizes will be given out along the way and children can go in the draw to win 1 of 3 family passes to twistED Science in Echuca for two adults and up to 4 children!” said Mayor Learmonth.

For more information about school holiday activities follow Gannawarra Library Service on Facebook or call into your local library to pick up a flyer.
