Connect With Council coming to Murrabit
Published on 03 July 2026
Murrabit and district residents will be able to engage directly with Gannawarra Shire Council leaders thanks to the next session of the Connect With Council program.
Councillors and senior staff will be in attendance at the Murrabit Hall on Wednesday, 29 July from 12 noon-1.30pm, with the gathering coinciding with the monthly Murrabit Community Lunch program.
The session follows on from sessions already held at Kerang, Macorna and Quambatook, which saw residents and business owners discuss their concerns with Councillors and senior staff.
“The Connect With Council program is enabling residents to engage with Councillors and senior staff about matters that are affecting them,” Mayor Garner Smith said.
“By holding sessions at convenient times and in locations where the community is already gathering, it becomes easier for residents to connect with their local government leaders and discuss the issues that matter to them.”
Residents attending the Connect With Council session can enjoy a two-course meal for just $12, courtesy of the Murrabit Advancement Association. To book a meal, please phone (03) 5457 2205 by Friday, 24 July.
Sessions will also be held during August, September and October at Cohuna, Lalbert and Koondrook, with details regarding dates, times and locations to be announced soon.
Work is also occurring to confirm times and locations for sessions occurring later this year at Lake Charm and Leitchville, with details to be promoted on Council’s website Facebook page and editions of Gannawarra News and Gannawarra Connect.
