The Gannawarra Library Service is hosting the launch of local author Fleur C. Boal’s first book later this month.
The launch of Fleur’s debut book, The Psychologist’s Daughter will occur at The Glasshouse, Kerang on Tuesday, 23 June at 7.30pm.
This moving and thought-provoking memoir focuses on Fleur’s relationship with her father, who is a revered psychologist, and how his traumatising and volatile personality affected her upbringing and growth as a woman.
“The Gannawarra Library Service is excited to host the launch of The Psychologist’s Daughter and celebrate Fleur’s literary debut,” Gannawarra Shire Council Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Rollinson said.
“Fleur’s story is one that will resonate with readers who know the sting of heartache from broken relationships, but also highlights there is hope.
“Through sheer perseverance and spiritual strength, Fleur surrendered unhealthy escapes and exchanged the lie of worthlessness for an improved self-identity and a sense of wholeness.”
Places for this free event are limited and will book out quickly.
