Celebrate summer at your local library

Gannawarra Library Service’s popular summer holiday program is back this January, with activities planned to keep families entertained.
Three weeks of free activities for children of all ages are planned for the Cohuna Library and Kerang’s Sir John Gorton Library between Tuesday, 10 January and Wednesday, 25 January.
“The Gannawarra Library Service’s school holiday programs are renowned for their popularity, and activities planned throughout January are no exception,” Gannawarra Shire Council Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Rollinson said.
The holiday fun will begin with Sand Art sessions occur at Kerang’s Sir John Gorton Library on Tuesday, 10 January at 10.30am and the Cohuna Library on Thursday, 12 January at 2.30pm.
Children aged eight years and older will enjoy a String Art session occurring at the Cohuna Library on Monday, 16 January at 10.30am, with children aged five years and older set to enjoy a Decorate Ceramic Birds and Plates session at Kerang’s Sir John Gorton Library on Thursday, 19 January from 10.30am.
The program will wrap up on Wednesday, 25 January with Kerang’s Sir John Gorton Library hosting an Australia Day Animals workshop from 10.30am.
Bookings for all activities are essential, with all children participating to be accompanied by an adult.
