2025 Annual Report celebrates Council's successes

Gannawarra Shire Council’s achievements undertaken during the 2024/25 financial year are outlined in the Gannawarra Shire Council Annual Report 2025.

Presented to the October 2025 Council Meeting, the Gannawarra Shire Council Annual Report 2025 features a range of information about the Gannawarra and Council’s achievements during 2024/25, including major projects completed and details relating to funding Council provided to community groups and organisations. The document also includes a variety of photographs and images which showcase the region and community support, and services delivered by Council to the community.

“The development of stronger connections with our residents and the implementation of measures aligned with their needs was a key focus of Council’s efforts during 2024/25,” Mayor Garner Smith said.

“The majority of 2024/25 was spent working with our communities in developing the Gannawarra Shire 2025-2029 Council Plan and Gannawarra Community Vision 2040. Councillors met with residents from every corner of the Gannawarra to learn about their communities, what issues they are facing and what Council can do to make their lives better. This work has provided the groundwork for what should lead to a collaborative relationship with our residents during the next four years.

“Communities across the Gannawarra also benefited from the completion of major capital works projects, made possible thanks to partnerships with the State and Federal governments. These works included Stages 3 and 4 of the Kerang CBD Redevelopment, the replacement of three Council-managed bridges and construction of The Glasshouse.”

The Gannawarra Shire Council Annual Report 2025 outlines Council’s efforts in achieving goals outlined in the Growing Gannawarra – 2021-2025 Council Plan Year Four Action Plan, its performance in the Local Government Performance Reporting Framework and Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan achievements in an easy-to-read format.

The Gannawarra Shire Council Annual Report 2025 also features Council’s Audited Financial Statements and Audited Performance Statement for the 2024/25 financial year.
