Commemorations will be held across the Gannawarra to mark ANZAC Day on Thursday, 25 April.

Commemorations will include dawn services, marches and wreath laying ceremonies.

Details regarding events held throughout the Gannawarra are listed below. Please note that this page will be updated regularly as communities provide information regarding their services.

Cohuna

The traditional Dawn Service will be held at the town's cenotaph at 5.45am.

A march, led by the Bendigo Pipe Band, will begin at the Cohuna Post Office at 9.15am, followed by the laying of wreaths at Cohuna Memorial Park.

 

Kerang

A dawn service will be held at the Kerang cenotaph from 6am, followed by a Kerang Lions Club-hosted Gunfire Breakfast at the Kerang Memorial Hall.

The traditional march from the Kerang Memorial Clock to the town's cenotaph will begin at 10am, followed by a wreath laying ceremony. 

 

Koondrook-Barham

A dawn service will be held from 6am at the Barham Cenotaph, followed by a gunfire breakfast at cluBarham.

A wreath laying ceremony and march between both towns will be held in the morning. Details are to be confirmed.

 

Leitchville

Commemorations will be held from 11am at the Leitchville Memorial Hall.

Murrabit

Commemorations will begin at 10.30am with a service at the Murrabit Hall, before proceedings move to the town's cenotaph.

A community lunch will be held from 11.30am at the back of the Murrabit Hall, provided by the Murrabit and District Lions Club.

Mystic Park

A service will be held at the Mystic Park Cenotaph from 11.30am, with Julie Smith the guest speaker.

A barbecue will be held on the lawns of the Mystic Park Hotel following official proceedings.

Quambatook

Commemorations will be held at the town's memorial, located in Guthrie Street. Assembly will occur at 7.30am, with coffee available. 

The march and service will begin at 8am, with a gunfire breakfast to be served from 8.45am (gold coin donation).
