Draft Domestic Animal Management Plan 2022-2025

Residents were encouraged to have their say on Council’s Draft Domestic Animal Management Plan 2022-2025 during late August and early September 2022.

A requirement of the Domestic Animals Act 1994, the Draft Domestic Animal Management Plan 2022-2025 identifies Council’s responsibilities for education and compliance and provides a framework on how it will effectively manage its statutory responsibilities associated with domestic animal management.

The Draft Domestic Animal Management Plan 2022-2025 features various actions covering 10 objectives, including registration and identification, programs to promote and encourage responsible pet ownership, nuisance animals, dog attacks and training of authorised officers.
