Lola Montez receiving rave reviews

Lola Montez

The Exotic Lives of Lola Montez is currently touring Victoria and will play in Cohuna on 12 August.  It is receiving rave reviews from initial performances around the state.

4.5 stars "Luscious and indulgent and glorious ....The Exotic Lives of Lola Montez is riveting and empowering and awe inspiring in its beauty and pain. It is rare for artists of this quality to come together and you should not miss your chance to experience a transformative and spell-binding night of story-telling," Planet Arts.

And another:

"Imaginative, descriptive, bold  ... Lola's words come alive on stage, and with a well-thought out and supportive score - and a little imagination - you can virtually see these events happening on the stage," My About Town.

This cabaret brings to life the true story of Lola’s scandalous tour of the Victorian Goldfields in 1855 when she entertained the miners in Ballarat, Castlemaine and Bendigo and, like Lola’s performances, there is full frontal nudity.

Starring Parisienne dance siren Holly Durante and Lola’s descendant, Caroline Lee, The Exotic Lives of Lola Montez tour is not to be missed.

Showing on Saturday 12 August, 7.30pm (doors open at 7pm) at the Cohuna Memorial Hall. The performance will be followed by the Lola Bar where you can meet and have your photos taken with the performers, enjoy your BYO alcohol, or purchase coffee and cake to finish off your night whilst talking to your friends.
