Does your community group want to be featured in Gannawarra Shire Council’s tourism, arts and culture events brochure?

Mayor Brian Gibson said Gannawarra Shire Council is now giving the community a chance to promote their community event through a printed events brochure which will be released twice a year, aligning with the seasons (Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter).

“For your opportunity to feature in Council’s tourism, arts and culture events brochure for 2018, make sure your event is submitted to Gannawarra Shire Council’s website by 17 May or, for events occurring between February and June, by 22 December 2017. The inaugural brochure will be distributed in June/July this year.”

“To add your event to Councils website, under the events section there is a tab ‘add your event’, you then have to fill out a simple form that will be submitted to Council and added to the website,” Mayor Gibson explained.

“We want residents and visitors to Gannawarra to know how much is happening in our community. With so many different events and activities on offer all the time around the municipality, the public can now have access to all the information, initially through Council’s website and also through this brochure, and they can market their event to a wider community.”

“This is a great opportunity for community groups to promote and spread the word about an upcoming event in the municipality,” Mayor Gibson said.
