Residents will be able to discuss ideas and concerns with both Gannawarra Shire Council Mayor Lorraine Learmonth and fellow councillors in an informal setting, thanks to a program that starts later this month.

The first of this year’s Mayoral Listening Posts will be held on Friday, February 22 outside the Kerang Council Chambers from 10am to 11am.

Joining Mayor Learmonth for the first of this year’s Listening Posts will be Patchell Ward representative, Cr Brian Gibson.

“This is your opportunity to speak to your elected members of Council regarding the issues that affect you,” Mayor Learmonth said.

Last held in 2017, Mayoral Listening Post events enable residents to meet with their elected representatives to talk about local matters and learn about projects occurring throughout Council.

“Following sessions will be held throughout the Shire during the year, with details to be confirmed at a later date,” Mayor Learmonth said.
