The Kerang Exercise Pool will re-open to patrons on Wednesday, 4 November.

Located in Patchell Plaza, the pool has been closed to the public since late March following the implementation of COVID-19 social distancing measures.

“Council thanks residents who rely on the facility for their understanding throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and looks forward to its re-opening,” Gannawarra Shire Council Chief Executive Officer, Tom O’Reilly said.

“Regional Victoria’s progression through the State Government’s roadmap towards COVID-normal means residents can return to the Kerang Exercise Pool at this time, with a range of measures in place to ensure the safety of customers and staff.”

As part of these measures, the pool will initially be open weekdays from 10am to 2pm. Bookings will be essential in either 30-minute or one-hour blocks, which can be done by phoning Council’s Customer Service team on (03) 5450 9333.

“Attendances will be capped at a maximum of seven people, with limits on the number of people who can access the pool’s change rooms at any time,” Mr O’Reilly said.

“In line with State Government regulations, people attending the pool will be asked to provide their contact details to assist with contact tracing and use hand sanitiser upon entry. Those inside these venues will also need to adhere to the 1.5-metre social distancing rule.

“We ask that patrons adhere to these guidelines, and most importantly, please stay home if you are feeling unwell.”
