Draft Gannawarra Waterfront Masterplans Open for Feedback

Gannawarra Shire Council is inviting members of the community to provide their feedback on Council’s Draft Gannawarra Waterfront Masterplans developed by Urban Enterprise.

Mayor Lorraine Learmonth said the Gannawarra Waterfront Masterplans include Kerang Lakes (Kangaroo Lake and Lake Charm), the Murray River Precinct at Koondrook and the Gunbower Creek Precinct in Cohuna.

“The Draft Gannawarra Waterfront Masterplans have been prepared based on feedback of the Concept Plan Discussion Paper which went out for community consultation in May,” said Mayor Learmonth.

“The concept Masterplans prepared through this project will aim to identify projects that will lead to strong economic development outcomes for Gannawarra Shire, maximising tourism, recreation,commercial and residential opportunities.”

Copies of the Draft Gannawarra Waterfront Masterplans can be inspected at Cohuna and Kerang Council Offices, Sir John Gorton Library in Kerang, Gateway to Gannawarra Visitor Centre in Cohuna and online via www.gannawarra.vic.gov.au/Council/Public-Notices

Any person wishing to submit feedback can do so by providing their feedback in writing via email to council@gannawarra.vic.gov.au, delivered in person to Gannawarra Shire Council offices located at 47 Victoria Street, Kerang or 23-25 King Edward Street, Cohuna or by post to PO Box 287, Kerang VIC 3579.

Submissions close at 5pm on Thursday February 28, 2019.

A final Gannawarra Waterfront Masterplans Report will be prepared based on feedback and consultation of the draft.
