Gannawarra Shire Council facilities continue to reopen following the State Government’s decision to ease COVID-19 restrictions in Regional Victoria.

Council’s Customer Service Centres at Cohuna and Kerang will reopen from Monday, 21 September. The Kerang Customer Service Centre will be open from 8.30am to 5pm Mondays to Fridays, with the Cohuna Customer Service Centre operating from 10am to 4pm Mondays to Fridays.

“Council thanks the community for their understanding following the closure of our Customer Service Centres at Cohuna and Kerang in August, and looks forward to the re-opening of these important facilities,” Council Chief Executive Officer, Tom O’Reilly said.

“Please note that over the counter queries, including the payment of bills and submission of paperwork, are the only services being provided at either facility at this time.

“Although our Customer Service Centres are reopening at this time, it is important to note that Gannawarra Library Service will continue to adhere to COVID-19 restrictions and operate as a ‘click and collect’ service, which has proven to be quite popular since its implementation on 16 September.”

Meanwhile, following the re-opening of playgrounds and exercise equipment across the municipality earlier this week, skate parks at Cohuna, Kerang and Quambatook are now open.

“Our skate parks provide a recreational and social outlet to residents and visitors from across regional Victoria, with the reopening of these facilities timely as the days become warmer,” Mr O’Reilly said.
