COVID-19 Recovery Survey deadline extended

Gannawarra Shire Council residents now have until 5pm on Monday, 31 August to complete Council’s COVID-19 Community Health, Wellbeing and Recovery Survey.
Developed by Council with the support of the Gannawarra Community Resilience Committee, the survey gauges how residents are coping during the COVID-19 pandemic and what support is needed to return to a COVID-safe society.
“Initially scheduled to close on 7 August, Council has decided to continue seeking responses from the community as this pandemic continues, especially in light of the recent re-implementation of Stage 3 restrictions,” Mayor Lorraine Learmonth said.
“Council thanks the more than 80 people who have taken the time so far to complete the survey, with all responses received to assist the Gannawarra Community Resilience Committee, which consists of 28 agencies, to guide the Gannawarra’s social and economic recovery from a pandemic in what continues to be an uncertain time.”
Two versions of the COVID-19 Community Health, Wellbeing and Recovery Survey have been developed:
- A community version that asks what residents have done differently since social distancing measures were put in place in late March, as well as their views on health and wellbeing during this period; and
- A community group and organisation version that gauges how organisations operated during social distancing measures and challenges that may exist in recommencing meetings, activities and events.

Hard copies can also be collected from the following locations:
- Koondrook Post Office
- Lake Charm Store
- Murrabit General Store
- Quambatook Store
Completed surveys can be returned by mail to PO Box 287, Kerang VIC 3579 or delivered to either of the venues mentioned above by 5pm Monday, 31 August.
“I encourage all residents and community groups to consider taking the time to complete the relevant surveys and play a role in the Gannawarra’s recovery from COVID-19,” Mayor Learmonth said.
