Gannawarra Shire Council will hold 11 Meetings of Council in 2022.

The schedule of meetings for the coming year was approved at the November 2021 Council Meeting, with the current structure of monthly meetings between February and December retained.

“Meetings of Council enable Councillors to consider and make decisions on matters of public interest, including, but not limited to, financial matters, planning, policies and projects,” Mayor Charlie Gillingham said.

“Council Meetings held during 2021 have occurred at locations ranging from the Kerang Senior Citizens Centre and Cohuna Community Meeting Room, as well as virtually via Zoom.

“These meetings have also been livestreamed, enabling residents to watch proceedings from the comfort of home.”

As part of the schedule for 2022, meetings will be held at the Kerang Senior Citizens Centre, located at 169 Boundary Street, Kerang on the third Wednesday of the month at 6.30pm.

For those unable to attend, Council meetings will be livestreamed online at www.gsc.vic.gov.au/livestream, with video of each meeting broadcast available to view anytime at www.gsc.vic.gov.au/meetings.

“Any changes to these arrangements, including the time and location of meetings, will be promoted via Council’s Facebook page, website, Gannawarra News and Gannawarra Connect,” Mayor Gillingham said.
