Just a Farmer - movie screening and panel discussion

Mallee Family Care is hosting a free screening of the Leila McDougall-produced movie, Just a Farmer and panel discussion, supported by Gannawarra Shire Council flood recovery funding.

Set in rural Australia, Just a Farmer highlights the challenges and triumphs of farming. It explores the complexities of mental health struggles in rural Australia and the triumphs of a resilient farmer and her community.

Following the screening, Leila McDougall and Damian Walshe-Howling, who both appear in the movie, will join team members from Rural Financial Counselling Service, Social Security Rights Victoria (SSRV), and Northern District Community Health for a question and answer session that will address the mental health and wellbeing themes explored in the movie.
