Gannawarra Shire residents are invited to provide their feedback on the Draft Financial Plan, with submissions accepted until the closing date at 5pm on Friday, 24 September 2021.
The Draft Financial plan, which is a requirement of the new Local Government Act 2020, ensures the long-term financial sustainability of the Council and determines how the Council caters to important social needs through the funding of key community projects.
The Draft Financial Plan is built on four key strategic actions, including balancing the budget, maintaining assets, ensuring a low level of debt, and ensuring cash assets are maintained over the life of the ten-year plan.
Three draft models were considered by the Council of the Financial Plan, with different forecasts viewed based on different price index scenarios between income and expenditure.
