Drought Communities Programme – Extension projects
During 2020, Gannawarra Shire Council rolled out a number of initiatives, activities, events and infrastructure projects supported by the Federal Government’s Drought Communities Programme – Extension.
Council was eligible to apply for $2 million in funding after the Federal Government classified Gannawarra Shire Council as a drought-declared municipality in September 2019.
Council announced in December 2019 the list of projects that would be supported by $1 million of funding, known as Stage 1, with these projects to be completed by 30 June 2020.
