Learner Driver Mentor Program
NOTE: Due to State and Federal government measures to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, the L2P Learner Driver Mentor Program is postponed until further notice.
The TAC funded VicRoads L2P learner driver mentor program assists learners in the Gannawarra Shire under 21 years of age, who do not have access to a supervising driver or vehicle, to gain the driving experience required to apply for a probationary licence.
Young people are matched with fully licensed volunteer mentors, and use a sponsored vehicle to gain supervised driving experience.
L2P is free for eligible young people and is funded by the TAC.
To join the L2P program, you need to be:
- Between 16 and 20 years
- A current learner’s permit holder
- Without access to either a vehicle, supervising driver, or both
Learner drivers can refer themselves to the Gannawarra Shire Program or be referred by parents, schools, community agencies or other organisations.
