Swimming is something I’ve always enjoyed and joining our little swimming group after work  has been a wonderful and enjoyable way of getting back into exercise. I have struggled to keep exercising – this usually took the form of a daily walk with my little dog – until pain eventually prohibited me from walking. This, of course, had its own downside…..So… now with a new hip, I’ve been slowly getting back into gentle exercise. Swimming was highly recommended by the physio to get my hip moving , so I was chuffed to be invited to join the girls for a weekly swim.  The weightlessness of the water has been brilliant and has come with many extra benefits.  Now, I’m back on the walking track for the winter, feeling so much better – all pain free!!
