Council currently has 57 bridges within the municipality, details of which are contained in Council’s asset register. Of these bridges 23 are of timber construction and have a combined deck area of 2,671 square metres. The remaining 34 bridges are of concrete construction and have a combined deck area of 5,899 square metres.
Some older bridges may have a load limit applied for safety reasons. If you require information on which bridges have a load limit, please contact Council on 5450 9333.
Council annually undertakes regular maintenance and improvement works on local road bridges according to Council's Bridge Asset Management Plan, a copy of which is available below.
