One of Gannawarra Shire Council's Key Result Areas in the Council Plan 2009 - 2013 is in Leadership and Governance.
Leadership entails representing community interests in an open and accountable way in an advocacy role.
There are many outside influences that have a significant impact on the wellbeing of the Gannawarra Shire community over which Council has no direct control. It does, however, have the capacity to represent the community's interests on a range of important issues.
One of the ways to represent the community is through the presentation of submissions to relevant bodies on behalf of the community about significant issues.
