Council produced the Building Asset Management Plan as a tool to review the use of all Council’s buildings with a vision to rationalising what the Council can afford to retain; what the community needs are; how buildings assets might be maintained and renewed by the Council and others; and how local government as a whole may be able to attract funding from other levels of government to maintain and renew buildings used by local communities.
It covers the proposed levels of service, future demand, routine maintenance, renewal/replacement, acquisition/creation/augmentation of buildings assets and disposal. It also outlines the financial requirements and the key assumptions made in the financial forecasts.
