Kerang Pool Upgrade Continues

The upgrade at the Kerang Pool is continuing with the addition of a brand new shade structure and installation of a range of permanent outdoor furniture to the pool area.

Construction of the shade structure and installation of a number of table and bench seat combinations and single chairs began this week.

The new shade structure is being installed at the western end of the pool near the waterslide and follows on from the successful installation of shade sails at sites around the pool at the start of the last pool season.

The new seating opens up the opportunity for families and friends to make a visit to the pool a summertime experience including a picnic meal.

“We are hoping the new facilities will encourage more people to come along to the pool and enjoy what is on offer,” Gannawarra Shire Director Infrastructure Planning and Regulatory Services Geoff Rollinson said.

He said the new additions linked well to the refurbishment of nearby Atkinson Park where works already completed include a new toilet block and those still to get underway include installation of new play equipment and extensive landscaping throughout the park.
