Integrated Fire Management Plan

Gannawarra Shire Council is working with the Country Fire Authority, Department of Sustainability and Environment, Victoria Police and other key stakeholders to enhance fire management planning in our Shire.

The integrated fire management planning process is a team-based, holistic approach involving a wide range of stakeholders to manage the risk of fires in our Shire.

The process involves identifying fire hazards and associated risks, determining how likely they are to occur, and evaluating the loss of damage that could be caused by them, which may affect:

  • The community and its people
  • The environment
  • The local economy.
