Sidney Reid Reserve, Koondrook

Formerly known as the Koondrook Wetlands Reserve, Sidney Reid Reserve is one of the first parks motorists see as they enter the Gannawarra from the historic Koondrook-Barham Bridge.

The reserve honours the legacy of Sidney Reid, who came to Koondrook to manage the Koondrook redgum sawmill for the Estate of the late Alexander Arbuthnot.

During his time in Koondrook, Sidney had a deep sense of citizenship to which he made a generous contribution. This included time as secretary of the Koondrook Race Club, a member of the Koondrook Progress Association, Koondrook Hall Committee and many other local organisations.

Sidney Reid Reserve is also Koondrook's RV Free Camp site.
