Loddon Mallee Iconic Trail Strategy Plan  Printer Friendly

An investigation is being conducted to examine the potential for the Loddon Mallee region to be developed as a premier destination for users of tracks and trails.

Local and state government authorities in the Loddon Mallee region have commissioned the development of a Loddon Mallee Iconic Trails Strategic Plan to identify potential walking, cycling, mountain biking, canoeing and horse riding trails of regional significance that will attract domestic and international tourists to the area.

The project will examine the region’s unique natural and cultural characteristics, our existing network of tracks and trails, and propose opportunities to develop cycling rail trails, river canoe trails, mountain bike hubs and iconic walking routes.

Bendigo-based planning company, communityvibe, has been contracted to facilitate the project. To find out how you can be involved in this exciting project, please contact Wendy Holland at communityvibe on Ph: 0438 433 555 or visit http://www.communityvibe.com.au/iconic.pdf for workshop dates and written submission forms.
