| The Central Victoria Solar City project is part of the Australian Government’s $94 million Solar Cities program that offers incentives to local residents and businesses to participate in a trial range of energy efficiency, local energy generation and demand management products and services. The project will discover innovative local energy solutions for our region.
Householders can choose from a menu of energy efficiency local generation and demand management products and services.
Manage your energy locally with:
1. Energy Audit Package - Identify ways you can reduce your energy use around the home.
2. Retrofit Package - Improve existing household fixtures and fittings to reduce your energy use.
3. Demand Management Package - Trial either of two new electricity tariffs:
Time of Use (TOU) - with prices that reflect when you use your electricity during the day.
Critical Peak Pricing (CPP) – with prices that reflect changes in the energy demands from your electricity provider.
These tariffs may allow you to save money on your electricity bill as well as improving the supplier’s energy management capabilities.
Create your energy locally with:
4. Solar Hot Water Package - Generate your own hot water.
5. Household Photovoltaic (Solar panel) Installation Package - Generate your own electricity at home.
6. Solar Park Package - Subscribe to a new electricity tariff which effectively provides rental of a 2kW system located at your local Solar Park in Bendigo or Ballarat.
Or do both with:
7. Full Suite Package - Access a set combination of our products and services to ensure maximum energy efficiency.
Research: Under each offer, all participants are asked to take part in vital research on energy use. In return you will be eligible for financial incentives.
Rebates: You may be eligible for Commonwealth and State Government rebates to help meet all or part of the cost of the product or service selected.
