2017 SENIORS FESTIVAL EXPO

The Seniors Festival Expo is being held on Tuesday 17 October at the Kerang Memorial Hall between 11am - 3pm.

Mayor Brian Gibson is pleased to be opening the event which celebrates the contribution older people make to our community.

“This free event gives seniors the opportunity to meet with health and aged care providers, community groups, leisure and lifestyle services,” explains Mayor Gibson.

There will be live entertainment by the Young at Heart singers, a Pro Rock dance class, sweet treats demonstrations, along with cooking, knitting and craft competitions, as well as FREE showbags for the first 100 entrants!

A BBQ lunch by the Lions Club will be available between 12.00pm and 1.00pm by gold coin donation.

FREE Buses will be available from Leitchville, Cohuna, Koondrook, Murrabit, Lake Charm, Quambatook and Lalbert. Please call Council Customer Service on 03 5450 9333 to book your seat.

The Seniors Festival Expo is a part of the 2017 Victorian Seniors Festival which runs during October.

“I encourage Gannawarra seniors to get a copy of the festival flyer and see the amazing range of events and activities on offer. Don’t forget, public transport is free for Seniors Card holders between 8 - 15 October!” Mayor Gibson said.
