Outdoor pool season to end

With the 2018/19 outdoor swimming pool season to end this month, Gannawarra Shire Council would like to thank all who spent time at the Council managed Cohuna or Kerang outdoor swimming pools this season.

Both facilities will close their gates for the final time this season at 7pm on Sunday, 31 March, weather permitting.

“Both facilities recorded close to 32,000 admissions during the 2018/19 season, with patronage the highest during January, when the Gannawarra Shire area recorded 10 40-plus degree days,” Mayor Lorraine Learmonth said.

Those who attended the Kerang Swimming Pool benefited from improvements to the facility’s kiosk, whilst the waterslides at both venues and the splash park at Kerang were popular once again.

“Council thanks the community for their support during the summer pool season and look forward to another successful summer period when facilities reopen in November 2019,” Mayor Learmonth said.

The Kerang Exercise Pool, located in Patchell Plaza, will continue to operate, with opening hours and admission costs available to view online.
