Join a conversation that will help shape the future of the Mallee!

An opportunity to directly voice your thoughts and opinions on opportunities and challenges facing the Mallee is available for local community members.

Gannawarra Shire Council CEO Eric Braslis encourages the community to register for a Regional Assembly being held in Mildura on 1 December.

“The Regional Assembly represents a unique opportunity for the people of the Mallee to raise their aspirations and discuss their priorities for the region in the presence of Victorian Government Ministers,” Mr Braslis explained.

The Mallee Regional Partnership has been established by the Victorian Government to give regional communities greater say about what matters to them and ensure their voices reach the heart of government.  Partnerships will significantly increase collaboration between communities, industry, businesses and government to address the most important challenges and opportunities in each region.

“If you are not interested, or are not able to attend, the web page provides residents, businesses and other interested stakeholders with the opportunity to take part in the engagement process by answering some or all of the key questions on the web page,” Mr Braslis said.

Communities will have a chance to highlight priorities for their region, building on existing strategies and plans, harnessing the good ideas, the energy and the passion of locals to ensure the sustainability of small towns.
