Lake Charm, Lalbert, Macorna and Quambatook residents will have the chance to discuss ideas and concerns with Gannawarra Shire Council’s Mayor Lorraine Learmonth and fellow councillors next month.

Following the recent return of the Mayoral Listening Post program, sessions will occur on Monday, 4 March and Tuesday, 5 March for residents in the Avoca and Patchell Wards.

“This is your opportunity to speak to your elected members of Council regarding the issues that affect you,” Mayor Learmonth said.

“The first of this year’s Mayoral Listening Posts, held at Kerang on 22 February, was a success, and I encourage the Lake Charm, Lalbert, Macorna and Quambatook communities to support the initiative.”

Sessions will be held at the following locations:

  • Lake Charm Hall on Monday, 4 March from 9am to 10.30am;
  • Quambatook Store on Monday, 4 March from 1pm to 2:30pm;
  • Lalbert Store on Monday, 4 March from 3pm to 4:30pm; and
  • Macorna Recreation Reserve on Tuesday, March 5 from 11.30am to 1pm.

Avoca Ward representative, Cr Charlie Gillingham will be in attendance with the Mayor at Lake Charm, with Patchell Ward representative, Cr Brian Gibson to take part in the Macorna session.

“Sessions will be held throughout the Shire during the year, with details to be confirmed at a later date,” Mayor Learmonth said.
