LEITCHVILLE TO BE GLORIOUS!

Glorious!, a hilarious true story of the world’s worst opera singer Florence Foster Jenkins, is coming to Leitchville on 20 September 2017.
Starring Diana McLean as Florence (best known for her roles in The Young Doctors, Number 96 and All Saints) and Lyall Brooks as Cosme (The Underarm which came to Dubbo Regional Theatre in 2016) head the cast of three.
Mayor Brian Gibson said Leitchville was the perfect choice to host this entertaining performance.
“The Leitchville community is very excited to present this heart-warming comedy, in partnership with Gannawarra Shire, and I know a lot of work is being put into the presentation of the Hall for the occasion.”
“We are thrilled that this performance is also being offered free of charge to our wonderful volunteers, as a sincere thank you for the time and effort made to help deliver our key programs and services across the municipality.”
Complimentary tickets are available to Council volunteers to either show, which include a matinee at 1.00pm and an evening show at 6.30pm. Volunteers are asked to contact Council on 5450 9333 to reserve their place.
“A bus will be available to take volunteers from Kerang and Cohuna to Leitchville for the 1.00pm Matinee performance only, please contact Council upon booking if you require bus transportation” explains Mayor Gibson.
Glorious! will be a fantastic show that the community can enjoy. The Daily Telegraph reviewed the show saying "This delightful and blissfully funny new play generates a rare glow of warmth and generous laughter...This is a cult hit in the making if I ever saw one."
