Kerang Promotional Signs

Updated promotional signage is now on display in two prominent areas in Kerang to provide visitor information about our municipality.

Mayor Brian Gibson says Atkinson Park and Sir John Gorton Library now have two new informative, bold and vibrant signs that reflect Kerang and the Kerang Lakes region as a vibrant community, and have been installed just in time for the busy holiday period around Christmas and New Year.

“A range of information is displayed on the new signage such as maps of the region and Kerang township to assist visitors to connect and move about the area. They also provide information about housing and services for visitors who may be considering relocating,” Mayor Gibson explains.

“Council have designed the signage to celebrate the natural attributes of the surrounding wetlands and environment and showcases the diversity of agriculture and industry that we have here,” Mayor Gibson said.

“The signs are equipped with a QR code which enables smartphone users to quickly and easily access our new tourism website www.visitkerangcohunakoondrook.com.au which has lots of visitor information right at your fingertips!,” Mayor Gibson says.

A smaller version of the signage has also been produced and is displayed at the Kerang Turf Club RV Camp entrance.

These new signs provide visitors with clear, easy, accessible information about the area to make their time within Kerang and the Gannawarra Shire more enjoyable.

It is anticipated that similar signage will be rolled out across Cohuna and Koondrook in the future.
